My Sunday Feeling
Meet 'my Sunday feeling' this special little label is about being free and expressing memories and feelings through fashion to create a nostalgic wearable charm, almost like a walking music box playing your favourite tunes.
If My Sunday Feeling was a girl she'd be one of those free spirited babes that didn't have to wear much makeup but she'd still look glisteningly gorgeous, didn't have to bother exercising because her metabolism was lightening fast and she rode a bike everywhere she went and never spent much money or time looking for clothes, but still always looks like a walking indie fashion editorial.
If I was to pick who she was, it would be a cross between 'Dominique Swain' in the 1997 'Lolita' and punk model 'Alice Dellal'
In short, if MSF was a girl you would probably want to hate her but for some reason couldn't.
Designer Melody Jasmine 25 hails from Byron bay and in between living the laid back surfing life, she releases monthly collections. Each month features a fresh range of adorable VTG inspired prints and quirky embellishments. The My Sunday Feeling label is based around 60's and 70's esque nanna craftwork with some romantic folklore and hillbilly holly thrown in. Patchwork techniques, ruffles and hearts all feature heavily alongside vintage buttons and mismatched prints.
But despite the delicate lace, sweet floral’s and wholesome handmade goodness, the label isn't all daisies and sunshine, with enough sheer fabrics and cut out details to make your nanna blush a bit.
Melody dedicates hours to each garment, hand embellishing each piece with vintage odds and ends that she has collected far and wide on her travels. This ensures the buyer will be a proud owner of a truly original piece every time.
As the label is made up of such limited edition creations, it has become a very sought after line, appealing to many girls who at first glance fall in LOVE.
